First day of fall is September 22nd. And I am here for it! I started to do a bit of decorating around the house and wanted to share some easy ways for you to prep your indoors and outdoors for this vibrant season.
1. Porch
Create a prelude to your indoors with a welcoming fall porch/front door. To see how I decorated our front porch last year, you can check out this post.
This can be as simple or intricate as you like – but easily done by arranging various sized pumpkins and gourds, adding vibrant mums and fall florals, a wreath, a welcoming sign and a cute doormat.
2. Dining Table
Beautifully landscaped fall tables do not have to be difficult to recreate. You can use your existing china with a few earthly elements to create that fall ambiance.
Wood slices as chargers, fall-themed napkin holders, a garland and candles is all you need. You can even add smaller wreaths to the back of your dining room chairs.
3. Fireplace and Banisters
Fireplaces are a great focal point in the house and can be easily spruced up with fall garlands. You can add pops of color to a garland by adding in rich colors of faux mini pumpkins. You can also replicate that same idea on your staircases and banisters to provide that visual consistency from space to space throughout your home.
4. Accents
With just a few accents around your home, you will be fall ready! Place a variety of fall-centric pillows and throws around the house for a cozy vibe. Add fresh greenery or fall bouquets in vases. Add a rustic element like a wooden tray on your coffee table. Light up autumn scents around your home to bring that outdoor fall aroma in.
5. Fall Art Wall
You can create an accent wall in your home dedicated to the season by mixing and matching wall art and signs. Or gather up your kids’ fall artwork from over the years and place into frames for a personalized keepsake touch!
I hope this post gave you some easy ideas to get your creative juices going with fall decorating!
