Fall 2017 is packed with great trends like velvet for textures and mustard and red for colors. But how about the floral trend? This one is near and dear to my heart. The younger me in the 90’s sported floral dresses with rugged boots all throughout high school.

What is not to love about florals? I love the variations of color all in one outfit especially against a backdrop of fall foliage and rustic trees. Think of the same effect you get with mixing burlap with lace or hanging crystal chandeliers from tree branches. Same goes with a beautiful floral number paired with earthy-toned accessories to roughen the romantic look.
It’s easy to transition your summer florals into fall with a cozy junky cardigan or a suede jacket. You can even do a turtleneck underneath. Got a floral romper? Pair it with knee high socks or a pair of tights. Add neutral-toned boots and you are all ready for a beautiful and crisp fall night out or a casual fall winery wedding! Add drama by incorporating a bold lipstick like this color I am wearing to match the warm tones of the fall season.
Speaking of makeup, it may be hard to tell, but I am not wearing any eye shadow in these pictures. I just dusted some setting powder on my lids, lined my lower lash line with a black liner, did a couple of coats of mascara, and that’s it! I am loving my fuller longer lashes lately, and I am finding that I don’t need as much eye makeup as before. Read all about how I get fuller longer lashes in my previous post here.

Like you said, what’s not to love about florals? This floral maxi is perfect on you. I like the slits and how you paired it with the booties & cardigan. Amazing job with your makeup as well. You look gorgeous.
